The best bagless robot vacuum Self-Empting Robot Vacuum Bagless Cleaners

The customers who love this robotic vacuum cleaner claim it is powerful enough to handle pet hair dust, dirt and dirt on all types of floors. It comes with three cleaning stages and can be scheduled using the mobile app or voice control using smart speakers.

It's expensive however this upgrade to a standard robot vacuum is worth it for some. It has a large dustbin that only needs to be emptied every 30 to 60 days.

1. IRobot Roomba i3+ EVO

The i3+ EVO features two flexible multi-surface brushrolls made of rubber and is designed to clear most types of debris on floor surfaces that are not paved. It performs very well on hard floors and is excellent for cleaning dust and larger particles, however, it has a problem with pet hair. It is also able to blow particles such as kosher salt and kitty litter, which require an additional run.

The device features an Clean/Power button in the middle, with Spot Cleaning and Home buttons on either side. The light ring around the Clean/Power button is solid white when it is charged, and it changes color when the battery is low, and shines bright blue when it is searching for its Clean Base (more below).

Once the cleaning of a room is complete when the robot is done, it returns to its base, docking and emptying its dust bin into the Clean Base for self-emptying. You can also manually empty the bin once it's full, but that takes a while and will require you to remove the bin and clean its filter.

In our tests, this machine had excellent suction on hard floors and carpeting. Its intelligent mapping system is superior to other systems because it can store multiple maps and perform a variety functions, including a customized and scheduled cleaning. However, it doesn't permit you to set up Keep-Out Zones, or clean specific rooms at a specific time, which may be important in the case of spaces that are more than one floor. To get that feature, you may prefer the Roborock Q5+ instead, which has a superior smart-mapping system and offers a lot more customization options within its easy-to-use app.

2. Shark Matrix

Shark, which is a part of the home appliance conglomerate SharkNinja, is a relative newcomer in the robotic vacuum market. However Shark has grown quickly in popularity thanks to its an extensive selection of affordable robots with relatively premium-grade quality of construction. The Matrix is their flagship model. It's a powerful, home-cleaner with amazing suction and clever features.

The Shark Matrix has a self-emptying base station that automatically empty after every clean, saving you the hassle of having to change out the bag. Like all Shark robots that are available, the Matrix can be set to run according to a set schedule or remotely controlled by voice commands for hands-free convenience. It also has a the cliff sensor to ensure that it doesn't fall down a flight of stairs, and optical encoders to determine how far it has been cleaned.

The Matrix is a fantastic choice for those looking for a midrange robotic vacuum. It might not come with the sophisticated vSLAM mapping of the Roomba S9 but it still offers a lot. Its cleaning route is effective on carpeted surfaces, and it picks up dirt on all surfaces. It also has a slightly larger cleaning head than the S9 and a self-cleaning brush roll that's ideal for pet hair.

The only downside is that Shark's app can be a bit slow and unreliable, particularly when it is used in conjunction with a robot. The iRobot HOME app however, is unequivocally more intuitive and stable.

3. iRobot Roomba i3

The Roomba i3 is our favorite robot vacuum model that is bagless robot vacuum due to its impressive performance on bare flooring and its high-end construction. It feels solidly built, is able to maneuver itself effortlessly around obstacles, and is able to recharge quickly. It has a large trash bin that can be easily empty.

The model isn't equipped with a top mounted camera which can identify objects or search for features that are unique. Some of its more expensive siblings do. It has optical sensors that focus downwards to find obstacles. It also builds up an image of the floor plan while it cleans and pays attention to internal sensors, such as gyroscopes, wheel odometers, and gyroscopes. iRobot’s Genius update, which adds smart mapping to the robot without increasing its price and lets you control it using the iRobot app or your voice assistant to clean specific areas.

The app or docking station can trigger the Roomba to empty its internal dust bin and then place it in the larger bin. The docking station and the robot also communicate with each other via beacons to ensure they're in close proximity before the robot begins cleaning.

You can also schedule cleanings from the iRobot Home app or use your voice assistant to initiate a spot clean of any area that needs a quick fix. The dual rubber brushrolls are designed to get rid of pet hair, dirt and other hard-to-remove debris. With its sensor that is reactive you don't have to manually adjust head height or suction strength. Look into the Shark iQ Plus and Roborock S6 maxV if you want an experience that is more customizable.

Roomba iRobot i5 from iRobot

This robot bagless modern vacuum is among the top in terms of self-emptying. It comes with a dirt bin that automatically emptys when it is full into the robot's base. It also makes use of patented Dirt Detect technology to help it find dirtier areas in the room and clean them more thoroughly. The edgesweeping brush operates continuously and its dual multi-surface rubber brushes can flex to adjust to your floors, allowing them to remove and loosen heavy dirt. This is coupled with a suction system that draws up and holds dirt and dust, and mopping solution tank that releases liquid to effectively clean your floors.

It's an excellent choice for floors with no carpet and is even a great option in small amounts of carpet with a low pile. It doesn't remove pet hair as efficiently as other models, and it may struggle to handle large particles like cereal as the dirt container fills up. It also has a limited amount of maneuverability and can get caught up in things like rug tassels and electrical cords. It has an average battery life and charges quickly.

The iRobot Combo i5 goes to the next step by adding mopping capabilities. The robot can be transformed into a multi-surface vacuum and mop robot by swapping out the included Roomba Combo cleaner bin. It navigates rooms in neat rows and is guided by the iRobot app, or via voice commands when paired with smart assistant devices.

It's better in cleaning floors with no floor and low-pile carpet than the iRobot Roomba E5 and has an allergen-trapping HEPA filter. However it's not as intelligent as the Shark AI Robot and has more parts that need to be regularly cleaned. It does feel more sturdy and has longer battery life, but it also costs more to operate.

5. IRobot Roomba i7 Roomba

The Roomba i7 has one very distinctive feature that we don't find in other robot bagless automatic vacuums: an automated dirt disposal system built into its base. When it's docked, a hose in the Clean Base automatically sucks debris out of the bin and into a special bag that iRobot calls its Smart Maps. It's a clever, mess-free way to dump your robot's bin. It also eliminates the trouble of removing the old bin only to let everything fly everywhere (which typically results in a minor dustsplosion). This top-rated model comes with a minimal operating cost. You'll need to replace the bag each time it fills up. They're not expensive, but you may feel bad to throw them to waste.

When you have your i7+ and Clean Base together and you are ready to start it cleaning right away or ask it to perform a couple exploratory non-vacuuming training runs first to create a floor map of the room. Once you have an outline of the space you can use the iRobot app to label rooms and construct virtual barriers. You can also set specific cleaning times for specific rooms.

The i7+ is a top-of-the-line robot vacuum. While it's extremely efficient and comes with all the features you could need in the home automation space, it comes at the price of a product that's difficult to justify for the majority of. The competition is a lot less expensive and includes the Roborock S7, which feels better built, incurs lower costs for recurring expenses, has a longer maximum runtime, and performs better on floors with no flooring than the i7+. We suggest you look elsewhere unless you're absolutely committed to keeping an accurate map of your home that is up-to-date.
