For many veterans suffering from disabilities due to their military service, a veterans disability lawsuit might be the solution. The Department of Veterans Affairs offers benefits to veterans, including medical treatment and special programs.

However, obtaining those benefits isn't easy for Black veterans, as per a new lawsuit filed Monday. The Yale Law School Veterans Legal Services Clinic filed the suit on behalf of Conley M. Monk Jr.

PTSD

The lawsuit seeks damages for compensation for Monk and other Black veterans who were denied access to benefits. It also demands the VA to review the claims of thousands of other veterans who were incorrectly dismissed. The lawsuit was filed this week in federal court.
