Easy of Use

The Shark IQ Robot is very easy to use. It has an intuitive interface. The unit has two control buttons at the top that can be used to start or stop a cleaning session or to transfer it back to the dock. There's a unique Ultra Mop setting in the application that offers better stain cleaning in targeted areas.

The Shark IQ robot is more expensive than Xiaomi Mi, but it has superior maneuverability, navigation and cleaning capabilities for both floors with no carpet and carpet with a low pile. It comes with a larger dustbin and a longer battery life and physical boundary strips to protect it from certain areas.

Powerful Suction

The Shark IQ Robot Vacuum: Self-Cleaning Advanced Navigation AI Robot is a well-designed, solidly built robot mop and vacuum that's simple to put together right out from the box. You can label rooms as No-Go Zones, designate High-Traffic Zones, and establish virtual boundaries that the robot won't cross. The app lets you schedule cleaning sessions and monitor the robot's status or software update.

While the robot is clever and does a fantastic job of locating its surroundings, it could sometimes get stuck on obstacles like electrical cords or furniture. It is important to clear the floor of any large debris and clutter before turning on the mop or vacuum.

In my tests during my testing, the Shark cleaned floors with no floor and low-pile carpets with impressive efficiency. The mopping function also performed well. The vacuum and mop combination also runs fairly quietly, measuring at 50dB. This is roughly the volume of a refrigerator.

If you want to add a vacuum or mop function to a robotic cleaner that already has an outside dustbin think about the iRobot Roomba 694 (9/10, WIRED Recommends). The iRobot is more expensive than the Shark, but it is more robust, maneuvers around obstacles more easily, offers superior performance on carpet that is low and bare and comes with physical boundary strips that you can put in front of areas that you do not want it to enter.
