After a series of social media posts hinting at it, Italian supercar maker Lamborghini finally announced its NFT (non fungible token) Project. The Space Key is made from carbon fiber composite material that Lamborghini sent to the International Space Station in 2019 as part of a research project. After weeks of posts on social media hints at it, luxury automobile manufacturer Lamborghini has finally revealed its first non-fungible token (NFT) project. The Space Key is a collection of five physical items that allows you to access an exclusive digital work by the yet to be identified artist. At the heart of each Space Key is a block of advanced carbon fire composite material that was sent to the International Space Station in 2019 as part of a research program. After returning to Earth the Space Key was engraved with a QR code, which connects it to the digital element of the Space Key.

Each of the five Space Keys will feature a separate moment that occurs a few seconds apart as the Lamborghini Ultimae lifts off toward the stars. Over 600 million pixels make each of the five images, which were taken by photographer Fabian Oefner.

Oefner employed an inflatable camera with a lens to capture individual images, which were later assembled into the final photograph. The result is a picture that is out of this world. It captures both the beauty of Earth and the futuristic, hyperrealistic picture of a car rising from the Earth. The Space Keys are going to be auctioned in the near future, however there's no precise date or place yet.

The auction

With the slogan 'to the moon', the prestigious automobile maker Lamborghini has entered the realm of non-fungible tokens (NFT) with a fascinating project in collaboration with NFT PRO(tm).
