The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

A robot vacuum/mop combination is the best solution for pets who shed fur. This machine can vacuum, mop and clean its own mop pad with dual mop pads.

It also has the greatest suction power of any robot we have tested, with 8000Pa. It also allows you to create cleaning schedules and save your house's maps using its app.

1. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni robot vacuum-mop is the latest in Ecovacs line of hybrid robot vacuum mops. This model is dry and wet. It comes with the upgraded AIVI 3D2.0 lidar system Ecovacs, which offers enhanced mapping and obstruction-free operation. The system is dual-laser LiDAR -- similar to what is used in self-driving cars and is able to scan an area of up to 32 feet wide by 270 degrees. This means more precise mapping and faster response times and greater cleaning accuracy.

It also comes with a rotating mopping mat made of chenille, making it easier to scrub hard-to-clean spots than conventional mopping. During my testing the X2 Omni took just over a minute to clean its pad and begin work, and I noticed it was more precise than previous models that were able to follow a grid-like path around rooms. It was able to navigate around corners and edges of my rooms and also make "Zambani patterns" both in and out of the middle of the room. It returned to its OMNI Station frequently to empty the dustbin and clean the mop using hot water prior to beginning another cleaning task.

Like other Ecovacs products the X2 Omni is a breeze to set up and start using. Snap the dock into position then plug it in and pair it with your WiFi network at home. It takes just some minutes. Then, you can launch the app and start with your first cleaning project. I was able to dig into the settings and personalize my floor plan in less than 15 minutes, including creating specific areas for mopping and sweeping and reworking my furniture layouts, and much more. The X2 Omni did a great job in my tests, achieving excellent scores in cleaning pet hair and debris cleaning and near-perfect results for cleaning crevices and edges.

2. Deebot T10 Omni

The T10 Omni from ECOVACS is a powerful mopping and vacuum cleaner. It is the most advanced model of the brand's T-line, and features the latest OZMO Turbo 2.0 mopping system that uses dual-spinning brushes for superior cleaning over traditional oscillating scrubbing. It comes with YIKO, a natural language processing technology that is a first of its kind. It can respond to various voice commands. The ECOVACS App lets you map your house, create cleaning schedules, and alter settings.

The main drawback of the T10 Omni is that it's unable to switch between mopping and vacuuming in one run. The two modes require you attach and remove mop heads as you need to which is great for most homes but not an ideal choice for those who have a busy schedule.

However, the Deebot T10 Omni is a fantastic robot vacuum and delivers impressive results in our tests for pet hair. It was able to vacuum up more than 96% of the dust we tossed at it on our hardwood floors, which is an outstanding performance. It was a success on carpets and tiles cleaning up 99% of dirt.

This robot vacuum and mops has large docking systems that allows for automatic cleaning with cool mop pads. It also comes with an auto-emptying 3L bag that's easy to replace, and hot air drying for fast and simple maintenance. It also has a large water tank that allows more frequent rinses and dries between mopping runs.

Deebot T10 has an integrated wash tray into its base, which is similar to other mopping robots. It makes use of the wash tray to wash and dry the mop pads while it is using them. It doesn't have a removable tray so dirt, dust and other grime will gradually build up at the bottom.

3. RoboVac X8 Hybrid

While the Anker-owned Eufy is well-known in the world of robot vacuums but this model is its first venture into the world of mopping. It is equipped with upgraded intelligence with multiple map support, LIDAR scanning and twin-turbine technology that automatically adjusts to the type of surface you're cleaning. It's a great mid-range robotic vacuum cleaner however it doesn't exactly live up to its promise to be the Ultimate Ultenic D5s Pro: Powerful Smart Efficient source for floor cleaning.

The X8 Hybrid appears to be a standard robotic cleaner from the top. It has a circular shape with sweeper wheels and a raised sensor area. On the other hand, you'll see a motorised floorbrush and one side brush that pushes dust from the edges to the main path of its'mouth.' It's a bit smaller than the main brushes on the rival iRobot Roomba S9, which I found makes it easier to get under chairs and sofas.

Its mapping system is reasonably sophisticated and allows you to set no-mop zones, as well as specific cleaning zones. It has a tendency of hitting things like its charging station, and isn't great at navigating over carpets. It did a good job of picking up pet hair on floors that were not paved however, and in our tests, it took in 89.5 percent of cat litter, which is higher than any of the most powerful robots we've tested.

Although it can be controlled via the app and the app, the X8 Hybrid also comes with a series of physical buttons on its base that allow you to select a cleaning mode, and switch the robot off or on. These buttons can be used to establish no-go areas and access real-time maps. It's a bit chatty and will tell you what it's going to do next ("start cleaning") or even warn you that something's wrong (it does not have enough power to charge, for instance).

4. ILIFE A4s

This model is high-tech and sucks up pet hair, kibble, and other debris with top-notch efficiency and maneuvers flawlessly around furniture legs. It comes with a feature set that is impressive, including two cleaning modes and an automatic docking station and a real-time obstacle avoidance system. It's Wi-Fi-connected and best controlled via the Neato app, where cleanings can be scheduled and overall maintenance needs monitored. The X2 Omni is an excellent choice for large homes with hardwood carpet and flooring, however it requires some advance planning to avoid getting stuck by toys, power cords or other unexpected obstacles.

The robot performed well during our tests on hardwood floors and food particles. It picked up everything, from a single rice grain to multiple dog food pieces, with just one pass. It had a bit of difficulties transitioning to rugs however, in general, this vacuum cleaner is great for large spaces with flooring of all kinds and a variety of pets.

It is a bit pricey but if you're able to handle the cost it's an excellent buy for those who want to leave their home hands-free to go about other tasks or take care of chores. The A4s Pro also offers a handy auto cleaning mode that boosts suction power to handle tough dirt and spills, and includes a battery-powered ElectroWall that allows you to define boundaries where the robot isn't allowed to access.

This budget-friendly model from a well-known brand is the cheapest model we've tested yet and offers an exceptional value for the price. Its basic navigation system is based on a very basic random pathing algorithm, and it's not able to map rooms. This makes it less efficient than other models in this list. However it's still able to get under furniture and into corners and its mopping feature was very effective during our tests and was able to pick up pet hair and other debris with ease.

5. Shark iQ

Shark's iQ may not be as durable however it is superior in removing pet hair from all surfaces. It is more effective of cleaning low-pile carpet and floor surfaces that are bare. It also utilizes the smart-pathing software for better mobility. It also lets you assign it to a specific room, and its sophisticated set of automation features include no-go zones and scheduling. It lets you suspend and restart cleaning sessions, making it perfect for homes that have pets.

The self-cleaning brushroll eliminates tangles and can carry up to 30 days of dirt. It also has a set of angled side brushes that dig deep into corners, and its multi-stage filtration system can capture dust, dander and allergens to ensure a healthier air.

This robot vacuum feels solid and well-built. It comes with an app for smartphones that lets you change the settings of your vacuum and schedule cleaning sessions ahead of time. The app lets you check the remaining battery life of the iQ and receive push notifications in the event of any issues during a cleaning session. You can utilize your voice to control it using an Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant device or, if you do not have either of these options, you can mark areas with physical boundary strips.

The iQ is good for cleaning floors that aren't clean, and is able to do an adequate job with carpets with low pile and shaggy edges. However, it doesn't offer the same level of autonomy as our top choices. It's also expensive and the recurring expenses can add up over time.
