1. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni robot vacuum-mop is the latest model in Ecovacs line of hybrid robot vacuum mops. This model that is wet-dry is fitted with Ecovacs' upgraded AIVI 3D 2.0 lidar system that offers better mapping and obstacle avoidance. It uses dual laser LiDAR, similar to that found in self-driving vehicles. It can scan a space up to 32 feet across by 360 degrees. This results in more precise mapping, quicker response times, and higher cleaning accuracy.

It also comes with an alternating mopping mat made of chenille. This makes it easier to scrub hard spots than traditional mop. In my testing the X2 Omni took just over a minute to wash its pad and get to work. I also noticed that it was more precise than other models that seemed to follow a gridded path around rooms. It was adept at navigating my rooms' corners and edges, as well as create a "Zambani pattern" up and down the center of the room. It returned to its OMNI Station on a regular basis to empty the dustbin, and wash the mop with hot water before beginning another cleaning task.

Like other Ecovacs products the X2 Omni is easy to set up and start using. Snap the dock into position connect it to the power outlet and connect it to your WiFi network at home. It takes just a few minutes. Then, you can launch the app to begin your first cleaning task. I was able customize my floor plan in about 15 minutes. The X2 Omni performed impressively during my tests, with outstanding scores in debris removal and pet hair cleaning and near-perfect results in edge and crevice cleaning.

2. Deebot T10 Omni

The T10 Omni from ECOVACS is a powerful vacuum and mopping machine. It is the most advanced model of the T-line of the brand and comes with a new OZMO Turbo 2.0 mopping system that uses dual-spinning brushes for better cleaning than traditional oscillating scrubbers. It also has YIKO integrated, a first-of-its kind natural language processing tech that lets it respond to a wide range of voice commands. You can make use of the ECOVACS app to map your home, set up cleaning schedules and adjust settings.

The biggest con with the T10 Omni is that it can't switch between mopping and vacuuming in one run. The T10 Omni comes with two modes that require you to attach mop heads and take them off in accordance with your needs. This is great for the majority of households, but not so for people who have a busy schedule.

The Deebot T10 is a fantastic robot vacuum that produces impressive results. It removed more than 96% debris from our hardwood floors. This is a remarkable performance. It also did a fantastic job on tile and carpet cleaning up more than 90% of dirt and other debris.

This robot vacuum and mop has large docking systems that allows for automatic cleaning using cool mop pads. It also has an auto-emptying 3L bag that's easy to replace, and hot air drying for quick and easy maintenance. It also has a large reservoir of water that allows it to be washed and dried more often between mopping sessions.

Like many other mopping robots such as the Deebot T10, this one has a wash tray in its base that rinses and dries the mop pads as it utilizes them. However, it doesn't have an open tray, meaning that dirty water, dust and other grime slowly accumulates in the bottom of the tray over time.

3. RoboVac X8 Hybrid

This is the first model of mopping from Anker which is well-known for its robot vacuums. It comes with enhanced smarts, multiple map support, and LIDAR scanning, along with twin-turbine suction technology that adjusts to the surface you're cleaning. It's a great mid-range robotic vacuum cleaner however it doesn't quite deliver on its promise of being the ultimate source for floor cleaning.

The X8 Hybrid appears to be an ordinary robotic cleaner from the top. It is a circular design with the sweeping wheels, as well as an elevated sensor. However, flip it over there's an electric floor brush and a single side sweeper that carries dirt from the edges of the machine into the main path of the robot's'mouth'. It's smaller than the main brushes of the iRobot Roomba S9, which I found makes it easier to get under sofas and chairs.

Its mapping system allows you to define no-mop areas as well as specific cleaning zones. The X2 Omni is a great choice for large homes that have a mix of hard and carpet flooring. However it will require some planning in advance to avoid getting caught by electrical cables, toys or other unexpected obstructions.

In our tests of hardwood floors and kibble, this robot performed well and picked up everything from one grain of rice up to many pieces of dog food in one go. It had some issues with rugs however, generally speaking the vacuum cleaner is great for rooms with floors of different types as well as a mixture of pets.

It's a bit expensive, but if you can handle the cost it's an excellent buy for those who wish to be able to leave their homes completely free to perform other tasks or take care of chores. The A4s Pro has a convenient auto-cleaning mode that boosts suction to get rid of difficult dirt or spills. It also has a battery-powered ElectroWall to establish boundaries for the robot.

This budget-friendly model from a well-known brand is the cheapest we've ever tested and offers exceptional value for money. Its basic navigation system uses an extremely basic random pathing algorithm, but it doesn't have room mapping capabilities, which makes it less efficient than other models on this list. However, it's still able to navigate under furniture and into corners and its mopping feature performed well during our tests, picking up stray pet hair and other debris easily.

5. Shark iQ

Shark IQ Robot Vacuum: Self-Cleaning Advanced Navigation's iQ isn't quite as robust as the Roomba S9, but it does better overall at cleaning up pet hair on all surfaces. It clears bare floors more thoroughly and does a good job on carpets with low pile and makes use of smart-pathing navigational technology for greater maneuverability. It can be directed to a specific location, and includes a variety of advanced automation features including no-go zones and schedules. It allows you to pause and restart cleaning sessions which is ideal for homes with pets.

Its self-cleaning brushroll prevents the tangles caused by pet hair and other debris and its bagless self-emptying dock station can hold up to 30 days worth of dirt before it needs to be emptied. It has a set angled side brushes to reach into corners and a multi-stage filter system to capture dust, dander and allergens.

The iQ robot vacuum is well-built and feels solid. It has a smartphone application that allows you to change the vacuum settings and schedule cleaning sessions ahead of time. The app lets you see the remaining battery life and also receive push notifications about any issues it encounters during a cleaning process. You can make use of your voice to control it using an Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant device, and if you don't have either options, you can mark areas with physical boundary marker strips.

The iQ excels in cleaning floors with no dirt, and is able to do an adequate job with carpets with low pile and shaggy edges. However it doesn't provide the same level autonomy as our top choices. It's also costly and its ongoing costs can become expensive over time.
