It also has the highest suction power of any robot we've tested, at 8,000Pa. It also allows you to create cleaning schedules and save maps of your house through its app.

1. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni robot vacuum-mop is the latest in Ecovacs line of hybrid robot vacuum mops. This wet-dry model is equipped with Ecovacs' new AIVI 3D 2.0 lidar system, which offers improved mapping and obstacles avoidance. The system is equipped with dual laser LiDAR, which is similar to the one used in self-driving vehicles. It can scan a space that is up to 32 feet by the 270-degree angle. That translates into more precise mapping, quicker response times, and better cleaning accuracy.

It also features a rotating mopping pad constructed of chenille fabric. This makes it easier to scrub tough areas unlike traditional mops. During my tests the X2 Omni washed its pad in less than a second and then got to work. I noticed that it was more precise than other models which seemed to follow a grid around rooms. It was able to navigate the corners and edges of my rooms and also create "Zambani patterns" up and down the middle of the room. It returned to its OMNI Station frequently to empty the dustbin, and clean the mop with hot water before beginning another task of cleaning.

Like other Ecovacs products The X2 Omni is easy to set up and start using. It takes just a few minutes to put the dock in its place, plug it into, and pair with your home Wi-Fi network. Then, you can start the app and get started with your first task of cleaning. I was able to customize my floor plan in about 15 minutes. This included creating limited areas for sweeping and mopping, reworking the placement of furniture on the wall, and more. The X2 Omni performed impressively during my tests, with outstanding scores in the removal of pet hair and debris cleaning and near-perfect results for cleaning crevices and edges.

2. Deebot T10 Omni

The T10 Omni from ECOVACS is a G10 Max: Powerful And Smart Robot Vacuum Cleaner mopping and vacuum cleaner. It is the most advanced of the brand's T-line, and features the brand's new OZMO Turbo 2.0 mopping system that utilizes dual-spinning brushes to provide more effective cleaning than traditional oscillating scrubbers. It also has YIKO integrated, a first-of-its kind natural language processing tech that lets it respond to a range of voice commands. You can make use of the ECOVACS app to map your home, create cleaning schedules and adjust settings.

The most significant issue with the T10 Omni is that it's unable to switch between mopping and vacuuming in a single run. Both modes require that you attach and remove mop heads as needed which is great for most homes, but not an ideal choice for those who have a busy schedule.

However, the Deebot Omni is a fantastic robot vacuum and delivers impressive results in our pet hair tests. It removed more than 96% debris from our hardwood floors. This is an excellent performance. It also did a fantastic job on tile and carpet and tile, getting rid of more than 99% of dirt and other debris.

This robot vacuum and mops comes with large docking systems that allows for automatic cleaning using cool mop pads. It also comes with an auto-emptying 3L bag which is easy to replace and hot air drying for quick and easy maintenance. It also has a large tank of water that allows it to be rinsed and dried more frequently between mopping sessions.

As with other mopping robots such as the Deebot T10, this one features a wash tray in its base that rinses and dry its mop pads when it uses them. It doesn't have a removable tray so dust, dirt and other grime can slowly build up in the bottom.

3. RoboVac X8 Hybrid

While Anker's Eufy is well-known in the field of robot vacuums, this model is its first foray into the world of mopping. It has improved smarts, multiple map support and LIDAR scanning, along with twin-turbine suction technology that adjusts to the floor you're cleaning. It's a mid-range robot cleaner that's appealing, even if its claim of being a one-stop-shop for floor cleaning doesn't quite come true.

The X8 Hybrid appears to be an ordinary robotic cleaner from the top. It has a circular shape with the sweeping wheels, as well as an elevated sensor area. On the other hand, you'll see a motorised floorbrush as well as one side brush that pushes dust away from the edges and into the main path of its' mouth.' It's smaller than the main brushes on the rival iRobot Roomba S9, which I found to be easier to access under sofas and chairs.

In our tests of hardwood floors and kibble, this robot performed well and was able to take everything from one grain of rice to multiple pieces of dog food in just one go. It did have some issues with rugs however, generally speaking, this vacuum cleaner is great for large rooms that have floors of different types as well as a mix of pets.

The A4s Pro is a bit expensive but it's an excellent purchase for those who want to to leave the house without hands so that they can take on other tasks or take care chores. The A4s Pro has a convenient auto-cleaning mode that boosts suction to tackle tough dirt or spills. It also includes a battery-powered ElectroWall to set boundaries for the robot.

This budget-friendly model from a well-known new brand is the most affordable we've tested and provides incredible value for the money. Its basic navigation system uses a super-basic random pathing algorithm and lacks room mapping capabilities, making it less time efficient than the other models on this list. It's still able to get under furniture and in the corners. Its mopping mode was very effective in our tests, picking up stray hair and other debris.

5. Shark iQ

Shark's iQ may not appear as well-built, but it is better in removing pet hair from all surfaces. It gets rid of floors with less efficiently and does a decent job on carpets with a low pile and also utilizes smart-pathing navigational technology to provide superior maneuverability. It also lets you transfer it to a particular area, and its advanced suite of automation features include no-go zones as well as scheduling. It also allows you to stop and resume cleaning, making it perfect for homes with pets.

Its self-cleaning brushroll is able to prevent tangles and can hold up to 30 day's worth of dirt. It comes with of side brushes that are angled to reach into corners and a multi-stage filter system to capture dust, dander and allergens.

This vacuum feels solid and well-constructed, and it comes with an app for smartphones that enables you to change the settings for your vacuum and plan cleaning sessions ahead of time.
