The X2 Omni robot vacuum-mop is the most recent in the Ecovacs range of hybrid robot vacuum mops. This wet-dry model is equipped with Ecovacs' upgraded AIVI 3D 2.0 lidar system, which offers improved mapping and obstacles avoidance. The system is dual-laser LiDAR similar to the kind you'll find in self-driving vehicles and is able to scan an area of up to 32 feet wide by 270 degrees. This means more precise mapping, faster response time, and better cleaning accuracy.

In my tests the X2 Omni washed its pad in less than a second and then got to work. I noticed that it was more precise than other models that seemed to follow the grid of rooms. It was able to navigate around corners and edges of my rooms and also create "Zambani patterns" across the middle of the room. It also returned to its OMNI station regularly to empty the dust bin and clean the mop with hot water prior to beginning another cleaning job.

Like other Ecovacs products, the X2 Omni is simple to set up and start using. It takes just minutes to secure the dock into position, plug it in, and pair with your Wi-Fi network at home. You can then launch the app to start your first cleaning project. The A4s Pro is a bit expensive however it's a great purchase for those who want to be able to leave the house hands-free so they can take on other tasks or take care chores. The A4s Pro has a convenient auto-cleaning mode that boosts suction to get rid of tough dirt or spills. It also includes a battery-powered ElectroWall to set boundaries for the robot vacuum and mop pet hair.

This budget-friendly model from a well-known brand is the cheapest we've ever tested and offers incredible value for the money. The basic navigation system is based on a basic random pathing algorithm, and it's not equipped to map rooms. This renders it less efficient than other models in this list. It's still able get under furniture and into corners. Mopping mode performed well in our tests and picked up hairs that were straying and other debris.

Shark's iQ may not be as durable however, it's better in removing pet hair from all surfaces. It is more effective of cleaning carpets with low piles as well as floors that are not covered.
