1. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is the latest in Ecovacs range of hybrid robot vacuums and mops. This model that is dry and wet includes the updated AIVI 3D2.0 lidar system Ecovacs, which offers enhanced mapping and obstruction-free operation. It uses dual laser LiDAR that is similar to the one used in self-driving vehicles. It can scan an area up to 32 feet across by 270 degrees. This results in more precise mapping, quicker response times, as well as better cleaning accuracy.

It also comes with a rotating mopping pad made of chenille fabric, which makes it easier to scrub tough areas unlike traditional mop. During my tests the X2 Omni washed its pad in just a few seconds and was ready to go. I noticed that it was more precise than other models which seemed to follow the grid of rooms. It was able to navigate my rooms by the corners and edges as well as create a "Zambani pattern" up and down the middle of the room. It scored highly in the areas of pet hair removal and debris removal, and had near-perfect results for edge and crevices cleaning.

2. Deebot T10 Omni

If you're looking for a strong combination of mopping and vacuuming then check out the EcoVACS Deebot T10 Omni. It is the most advanced model of the T-line of the brand and comes with a new OZMO Turbo 2.0 mopping system that utilizes Roborock S8 Dual Brush Robot Vacuum Cleaner-spinning brushes to provide more effective cleaning than traditional oscillating scrubbing. It also comes with YIKO built-in, a first-of-its-kind natural language processing technology that can respond to a variety of voice commands. You can make use of the ECOVACS app to map your home, create cleaning schedules and adjust settings.

The biggest issue with the T10 Omni is that it's unable to switch from mopping and vacuuming in a single run. The T10 Omni has two modes that require you to attach mop heads to and from the vacuum according to your needs. This is great for the majority of households, but not so for people who have a busy schedule.

However, the Deebot T10 Omni is a superb robot vacuum that delivers outstanding results in our tests for pet hair. This robot mop and vacuum comes with a large docking station that provides cool water cleaning for the mop pads, and auto-emptying into a 3L plastic bag that is easy to replace, and hot air drying for quick and easy maintenance. It also has a large tank of water that allows it to be washed and dried more often between mopping sessions.

The Deebot T10 comes with an integrated wash tray into its base, similar to other mopping robots. It makes use of the wash tray to rinse and dry the mop pads while it is using them. However, it doesn't have a removable tray, which means that dirty water, dust and other grime accumulates in the bottom of the tray over time.

3. RoboVac X8 Hybrid

This is the first model of mopping from Anker which is well-known for its robot vacuums. It is equipped with improved intelligence and support for multiple maps, LIDAR scanning and twin-turbine technology that automatically adjusts to the type of surface you're cleaning. It's a tempting mid-range robot vacuum cleaner however it doesn't quite deliver on its promise of being an all-in-one solution for floor cleaning.

The X8 Hybrid appears to be an ordinary robotic cleaner from the top. It has a circular shape with sweeping wheels, and an elevated sensor area. On the other hand you'll find a motorized floorbrush and one side brush that pushes dust away from the edges and into the main path of its' mouth.' It's smaller than the main brushes of the iRobot Roomba j7: Smart Mapping Vacuum Cleaner Roomba S9 which I found made it easier to reach under chairs and couches.

Its mapping system lets you define no-mop areas as well as specific cleaning zones. However it is prone to hit things (including its own charging dock) and isn't the best in negotiating rugs. It did a good job of picking up pet hair from floors that were bare, though, and in our tests it took in 89.5 percent of litter, which puts it ahead of all but the strongest robots we've examined.

The X8 Hybrid is controlled via an app, however it also has a set of physical buttons on its base. These buttons let you choose a cleaning mode or turn the robot on/off. You can also use these to set no-go zones and view real-time maps. It's also a bit chatty and will tell what it's going to do next (start cleaning) or notify you when something isn't right.

4. ILIFE A4s

This model is high-tech and sucks up pet hair, kibble and other particles with top-quality efficiency and maneuvers flawlessly around furniture legs. It also comes with an impressive feature set that includes two cleaning modes as well as a self-emptying dock and real-time obstacle avoidance technology. It is Wi-Fi-enabled and is best controlled via the Neato app, where cleanings can be scheduled and the overall maintenance needs be monitored. The X2 Omni is a great option for homes that have a mixture of carpet and hard floors. However it will require some planning in advance to avoid getting caught on toys, power cables, or other obstacles that might be unexpected.

In our hardwood floor and kibble tests the robot performed very well and was able to pick up everything from a single grain of rice to multiple pieces of dog food in one sweep. It had a bit of difficulties transitioning to rugs however, in general, this vacuum cleaner is ideal for large rooms with different flooring types and a mix of pets.

The A4s Pro is a bit expensive however it's a great purchase for those who want to be able to leave the house hands-free so they can take on other tasks or do chores. The A4s Pro also offers a useful auto-cleaning mode that automatically boosts suction power to handle difficult spills and dirt, and it is equipped with a battery-powered ElectroWall that lets you define boundaries where the robot isn't allowed to enter.

This budget-friendly model from a popular upstart brand is the cheapest model we've tested yet and offers an exceptional value for the price. Its navigation system is basic and uses a super-basic random pathing algorithm and lacks room mapping capabilities, which makes it less efficient than the other models on this list. However it's still able navigate under furniture and into corners, and its mopping mode performed well in our testing, picking up stray pet hair and other debris effortlessly.

5. Shark iQ

Shark's iQ isn't as sturdy as the Roomba S9, but it does better overall at cleaning up pet hair on all surfaces. It does a better job of cleaning carpets with low piles and bare floors. It also makes use of intelligent-pathing navigational software to improve maneuverability. It also allows you to assign it to a specific room, and its advanced suite of automation features include no-go zones and scheduling. It can even pause and resume cleaning sessions and is perfect for homes with pets.

Its self-cleaning brushroll is able to prevent tangles and can carry up to 30 day's worth of dirt. It also has an assortment of angled side brushes that penetrate into corners and its multi-stage filter system is able to capture dust, dander, and allergens to ensure a healthier air.

This robot vacuum feels solid and well-built, and it comes with an app for smartphones which lets you alter the settings for your vacuum and plan cleaning sessions in advance. The app also lets you see the remaining battery life and also receive push notifications about any issues it encounters during a cleaning cycle. You can make use of your voice to control the device using an Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant device, and if you don't have either of those, you can mark off areas with physical boundary marker strips.
