It is equipped with the latest AIVI 3D2.0 lidar system Ecovacs, which gives improved mapping and obstruction avoidance. The system is dual-laser LiDAR which is similar to what you'd find in self-driving cars and is able to scan up to 32 feet in 270 degrees. That translates into more precise mapping, faster response times, and higher cleaning accuracy.

It also comes with a rotating mopping pad made of chenille fabric. This makes it easier to scrub hard areas unlike traditional mops. In my tests the X2 Omni washed its pad in less than a second and got to work. I noticed that it was more accurate than other models that seemed to follow the grid of rooms. It was able to navigate my rooms' corners and edges, as well as create a "Zambani pattern" that ran up and down the middle of the room. It also returned to its OMNI station regularly to empty the trash bin and wash the mop with hot water prior to beginning another clean-up job.

It's a mid-range cleaner that's appealing even if the claim of being a one-stop shop for floor cleaning does not be realized.

The X8 Hybrid looks like a regular robotic vacuum cleaner from the top with its circular design with sweeping wheels and an elevated space for sensors. However, flip it over there's an electric floor brush as well as one side sweeper brush that pushes dirt from the edges into the main path of the robot's mouth. The X2 Omni is an excellent option for homes with a large a mix of hard carpet and flooring, however it requires some advance planning to avoid getting stuck on toys, power cords or other unexpected obstacles.

This robot did well during our tests on hardwood floors and kibble. It picked up everything, from one rice grain to a variety of dog food pieces with only one sweep. It had a bit of difficulties transitioning to rugs however, this vacuum cleaner is perfect for large rooms with different flooring types and a mix of pets.

The A4s Pro is a bit expensive however it's a great buy for people who want to be able to leave the house hands-free so they can take on other tasks or perform household chores. The A4s Pro has a convenient auto-cleaning mode that boosts suction to get rid of tough dirt or spills. It also comes with a battery powered ElectroWall to establish boundaries for the robot.

This budget-friendly robot from a popular new brand is the most affordable we've ever tested and offers an outstanding value for the money. Its basic navigation system is based on a basic random pathing algorithm, and it lacks the ability to map rooms. This renders it less efficient than the other models on this list. However, it's still able to reach under furniture and in corners and its mopping feature worked very well in our testing, picking up stray pet hair and other debris effortlessly.

Shark's iQ isn't quite as robust as the Roomba S9, but it does a better job overall in getting rid of pet hair from all surfaces. It gets rid of floors with less efficiently and does a decent job on carpets with low pile and makes use of smart-pathing navigational technology for greater maneuverability. It also allows you to send it to a specific room, and its sophisticated set of automation features include no-go zones as well as scheduling. It also lets you to pause and resume a cleaning session which is ideal for households with pets.

Its self-cleaning brushroll helps prevent tangles with pet hair and other debris and its self-emptying dock station can hold up to 30 days of dirt prior to needing to be empty.
