The X2 Omni robot vacuum-mop is the latest model in Ecovacs line of hybrid robot vacuum mops. This model that is dry and wet is equipped with the latest AIVI 3D2.0 lidar system from Ecovacs, which provides improved mapping and obstruction avoidance. It uses dual laser LiDAR, similar to that used in self-driving vehicles. It can scan up to 32 feet across by 270 degrees. This results in more precise mapping and faster response times and greater cleaning accuracy.

It also comes with an adjustable mopping pad made of chenille fabric. This makes it easier to scrub tough spots than traditional mop. During my tests, the X2 Omni washed its pad in just a few seconds and then got to work. I noticed that it was more accurate than other models, which seemed to follow the grid of rooms. It was able to navigate my rooms by the corners and edges as well as make a "Zambani pattern" that ran up and down the middle of the room. It returned to its OMNI Station regularly to empty the dustbin, and wash the mop with hot water before beginning another cleaning task.

Like other mopping machines such as the Deebot T10, this one has a wash tray in its base that rinses and dries the mop pads when it uses them. It does not have a tray that can be removed, which means that dust, dirt and other grime will slowly build up in the bottom.

While Anker-owned Eufy is well-known in the world of robot vacuums but this model is its first venture into the world of mopping. It features upgraded intelligence and support for multiple maps, LIDAR scanning and twin-turbine technology that automatically adjusts to the type of surface you're cleaning. It's a tempting mid-range vacuum cleaner, even if it doesn't exactly live up to its promise of being a one-stop shop for floor cleaning.

The X8 Hybrid looks like a regular robotic vacuum cleaner from the top with its circular shape with sweeping wheels and an elevated area for sensors. On the other hand, you'll see a motorised floorbrush as well as a single side brush that moves dust from the edges into the main artery of its' mouth.' This budget-friendly robot from a renowned brand is the cheapest we've tested and provides incredible value for money. It gets rid of floors with less efficiently and does a decent job on low-pile carpet and also uses smart-pathing navigational technology for better maneuverability. It can be directed to a particular area and includes a variety of advanced automation options, including no-go zones and schedules. It also allows you to pause and restart cleaning sessions, making it perfect for homes with pets.

Its self-cleaning brushroll helps prevent knots from pet hair and other debris, and its self-emptying docking station can hold up to 30 days of dirt prior to needing to be cleaned. It also comes with an assortment of side brushes that are angled to go deep into corners, and its multi-stage filtration system captures dust, dander and allergens to ensure a healthier air.

The iQ robot vacuum is well-built and feels solid. It works with an app for smartphones that lets you change the vacuum's settings and schedule cleaning sessions ahead of time. The app lets you see the remaining battery life of the iQ and also receive push notifications if it encounters any issues during the cleaning session. You can also control it using your voice via an Amazon Alexa device or Google Assistant device. If you don't own either of these devices, you can mark areas by using physical boundary markers.
