The Cybex Mios is another option. It bridges the two types of pushchairs as a fully-functioning system that is nimble. It can be utilized from birth in a parent-facing mode, but then switched to world-facing as your child gets older. It also has a comfortable recline that's nap-friendly. It's not as compact as the Libelle however it's a bit smaller and more comfortable to use on flat surfaces. It's not suitable for rough terrain. The other benefit is a very affordable cost and outstanding tests of durability.

Easy to store

The Joie Pact Pro is the ideal travel stroller, folding up so small that it can fit into an overhead luggage compartment and it weighs so little that you'll not even notice it in your car boot. It's also a great day-today stroller, and our test-driver Hollie found it easy to steer even while carrying her toddler. She was impressed by the adjustable handle and lockable wheels, however, she said it's not a particularly comfortable seat. However, she also appreciates the fact that you can add extras, including a My Babiie Reversible Pushchair: Grow with Your Child, washable seat liner, rain cover and the foot muff.

The Babyzen YOYO is a similarly compact fold pushchair. It isn't as streamlined as the Cybex Libelle, but it's still a very neat foldable product that can be easily slotted in and out of trunks and car boots. It also offers more options for babies than other buggies for travel, including the option of adding the bassinet or cot for newborns, plus a bespoke ride-on board designed for older children and a tandem double seat adapter.

It's not the smallest buggy for driving on uneven or rough terrain, and its tiny wheels don't work as well as some other models we've tried. But, it's an extremely maneuverable pushchair newborn and the YOYO does an excellent job of navigating narrow shopping aisles and muddy paths. It's perfect for a holiday or city break.

It can be folded down to the size and weight of a large bag and is simple to transport on planes and trains. It's also very easy to use and our MFM reviewer Matt was a joy to steer even with a heavy toddler on board. The hood is also a plus, as it can be lowered to shade you and protect from rain and sun. It's perfect for napping. Its only drawback is that there's no storage under the seat and you must carry or delicately hang your bag over the handlebars (against expert advice!). Alternatively, you can purchase a separately sold changing bag holder to make it an ideal buggy for the holidays.
