This robovac offers impressive AI-powered obstacle avoidance, a powerful mopping, and an auto-emptying dock. It also has an HEPA filter that blocks out allergens.

shark-av911s-ez-robot-vacuum-with-self-eIt's not as adept at scouring pet hair and other dirt as our top choices, but it's great for shoppers on a budget. It also has the most features in terms of apps including virtual no-go zones and zone cleaning.

1. iRobot Roomba i3+ EVO

The iRobot Roomba i3+ EVO is a solid, well-built robot that does an excellent job at vacuuming floors. It has a huge dirt compartment on the outside that automatically emptys into the docking station when it's full and resumes cleaning when it's recharged. It is effective at removing small and medium debris, but it has a difficult time dealing with hair of pets.

The robot, just like the i3 EVO uses iRobot’s iAdapat navigation software to help you learn and remember your home. It also comes with an option that automatically adjusts its head's height and suction power depending on the type of floor it's working on.

During our testing it did a great job on both hard floors and low-pile carpeting, picking the majority of the smaller, harder debris we deposited on each surface, while also taking on the larger crumbs of cereal we deposited on the carpet. It's not as adept at cleaning pet hair than a few of the top models we've tested, however, and it may be stuck on toys or cords if you don't pick them up before sending the robot out to clean.

In our tests, it cleaned for around 90 minutes before the battery went out and returned to its base. This is better than the i7+ or s9+ that was only able to run for 60 minutes in our tests. The i3+ EVO has a solid track record of remembering its previous run, which we've not seen with other robots.

The i3+ EVO's garbage bin has the capacity of 1.5 quarts, which is smaller than the majority of the other robots we tested. The bin has a release button on the side that you can use to empty the bin. You can also empty it using the docking station's CleanBase Automatic Dirt disposal system, which sucks up the dustbin's contents before emptying it into the station's external dirt bag.

2. Eureka Q5 pro

The Q5 Pro is a powerful mopping system that has a suction rate of 5,500pa. It can be installed in a matter of minutes. Its 770ml dustbin as well as water tank reduce the frequency of emptying, and its capacity is large enough to allow for longer mopping sessions. The 240-minute runtime makes it a great option for homes with a larger size. The robot's smart navigation technology, built on PreciSense LiDAR mapping, ensures it covers the entire room and is able to maneuver around obstacles.

Unlike some other robot vacuums like the Q5 Pro does not require Wi-Fi to function. However, its battery life is very small, which means you'll need to recharge it regularly if you plan to use the robot for a long time. It is easy to maintain with a dirtbag which can be easily replaced and a simple schedule of maintenance. It's also cheaper than its more expensive competitors.

The Q5 Pro can be a little bit finicky when it is dealing with pet hair as well as larger debris, but it does a solid job overall. In our tests, the Q5 Pro was able remove more debris from bare carpets and floors than Dirt Devil Endura Max. However, it was unable to getting into narrow corners and recessed high-pile areas. It's also more maneuverable and the filtration system does a great job of trapping allergens. However its straight suction floorhead is low to allow for the passage of heavy or large-sized debris. It also has a few other minor disadvantages like the absence of features that are more advanced and its limited remote control functionality. Eureka Q5 Pro, despite its limitations, is a great choice for those seeking a basic robot vacuum that can mop.

3. SwitchBot K10 Plus

If you're looking for a powerful vacuum cleaner that is able to also mop, then the SwitchBot K10 Plus is a great option. Its small size allows it to reach places that larger robots cannot such as corners and under furniture. It also has a LiDAR sensor which can detect obstacles and help avoid collisions.

During our tests the K10 Plus vacuumed up pet hair dust, crumbs and other particles quickly and efficiently from our carpet. It also was able to get into tight spaces like under our beds or around the legs of our chairs. In addition to vacuuming, it is also able to perform mopping tasks with an additional cloth or wet wipe. The K10 Plus comes with a small bag of wet wipes to get moving.

The app for K10 Plus is easy to use and easy to understand. It provides a variety of customization options like setting a no disruption time, adjusting the layout of the map and setting a timer to determine when you'd like it to clean. The app also tracks the usage of different tools like the side brush, filter, bin filter, and sensors. This lets you know when you should replace them.

The battery life of the K10 Plus is also pretty good. With a full battery we could get three hours of cleaning. It also recharges fairly quickly. Once it's completed with its job, it ejects the dirt into a large dustbin that is located in its base station. It can be quite loud, but not as loud compared to other robot vacuums we've tested.

4. iRobot Roomba S9+

iRobot Roomba S9+ is part of the high-end S Series lineup above models like the iRobot Roomba J7 and iRobot Roomba i3. It performs very well on various floor surfaces and maneuvers effectively around furniture. The main brushroll is equipped with counter-rotating rubber scrapers which effectively remove most particles, including pet hair, from carpets and floors. The suction power in real-world use is powerful for a robotic vacuum but doesn't quite match the suction power of high-end models like the Roborock S8.

The Roomba S9+'s design is clearly high-end, with a D-shaped body that looks much more contemporary than its circular counterparts. This alternative shape also helps it reach corners and along edges with ease. It will still leave dust behind in these areas if you don't spin the corner brush fast enough. However its powerful motor makes up for it.

In iRobot’s tests it was found that the S9+ was able to pick up cat litter and pet hair easily. It also performed admirably on hard floors where its powerful motor could power through most types and edges and corners with ease. Its advanced vSLAM technology and Imprint Smart Mapping made it one of our best navigators. It is able to find its way under sofas or beds with draped valances over them.

The iRobot App is easy to set up and use. You can select which functions you want to start during the initial setup process or wait until you've had an understanding of the way it functions. The internal bin has to be empty manually when it is full, but the process only takes about 15 seconds and is relatively quiet.

5. Roborock S8

This latest version of the Roborock S Series is a powerful mop and robot vacuum with a robust feature set. Like its predecessors, it utilizes a LIDAR sensor and camera system to aid in navigation and obstacles avoidance. The application's mapping engine creates a 3D-interactive map of your house that allows you to mark certain rooms to be spot cleaned or to set up no-go zones. The app lets you manage the robot's schedule and select different suction and mopping settings for each room.

The S8 is equipped with improved HyperForce suction that is able to clean up small hair and particles with ease. The app can be used to adjust the suction power and the device will switch between the energy-efficient 'Quiet', Balanced', and 'Turbo' modes based on the surface it's cleaning. It also comes with a 'Carpet Suction Boost' mode which boosts suction when the robot is on rugs.

You can manage the S8 using one button, which also functions as a general "Clean button, or a 'Spot Clean button that directs the robot to that location. Press the 'Dock/Home' button for the robot to go to its base station. The app has a surprisingly dense features and is simple to use. It also lets you select off-peak charging times to reduce the cost of using peak-time electricity.

The only downside to the S8 is that its battery does not last as long as it could, allowing only 130 minutes of use when I left it at its default settings with both vacuuming and mopping enabled. That's a remarkable amount of time and was enough to thoroughly clean my home.
