The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great option if you're looking for a robotic vacuum and mop that's priced in the middle. It's a great mopping capabilities, but is lacking certain of the more advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.

During testing, it was able remove pet hair and dry oats from carpets with a medium pile. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn't employ LIDAR to determine the layout of your home.

1. IRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the best robot vacuum plus mop-rated robots. It offers impressive cleaning power and plenty of features, including a self-emptying dirt compartment built into its charging base. The setup process is simple thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once the system is in place it can begin automated cleaning with a single button. This robot vac performs well on both floors that are bare and carpet with a low pile. It is able to pick up pet hair and also suck large objects up. It doesn't lose its suction as fast as some other best inexpensive robot vacuum vacuums. It has a difficult time with high-pile or plush carpet, however iRobot promises it will get better in the future with new models.

The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that focuses on improving the edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba that adopts a flat-fronted D-shaped design. It's a nice improvement over the standard hockey puck shape of most robovacs, though we found it to be marginally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims the S9+ comes with a superior filtering system that blocks tiny dust particles and allergens from circulating in your home. It's a nice premise, however, we're not convinced that it's enough to justify the high price tag.

Its smart navigation system uses a combination of sensors to remember your home's layout and vSLAM technology to map your interior. This allows it to steer clear of obstacles, like stairs and other barriers, and to tidy up your entire home in the most efficient manner possible. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and schedule cleaning times, as well as establish virtual boundary markers, so that it is aware of areas that require extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

The robo-vac comes with a multi-function dock that can automatically transfer physical garbage into the bin hidden from view and also washes and dry the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app will only alert you if something is wrong for example, a low clean water tank or a vacuuming session that is cancelled due to a full bin.

You can also design and merge actual rooms to customize the way that Q Revo will treat your home. This feature is useful if you have different flooring in different areas of your home, or when you have to frequently clear out clutter such as toys, clothes, and books. The robot vacuum is also efficient and was among the top performers in my tests, taking dirt from carpets and hardwoods in its first run. It can also remove wet spills however I would recommend drying them with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum combo with all the features you could need. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it has an excellent vacuum that has a powerful suction to clean carpet and hard floors, plus a rotating mop that scrubs tough staining. It also has self-cleaning bases that automatically empty and cleans the mop pads, ensuring that they remain them clean and ready for use again. It also has a new sensor system that can better recognizes obstacles, giving it the ability to prevent falling over furniture and other objects.

The biggest difference over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this version is sleeker and more modern design, thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best combo vacuum mop robot known for Bang & Olufsen products). Although it's still quite large--it's more than two feet high and deep and weighs nearly four pounds--the robot itself and its base are much smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

It can make detailed floor maps and identify different flooring types. It's also among the only robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. But while these functions are great but they also make the L10s Ultra more in the category of luxury, which might make it somewhat more expensive than some homeowners need.

Designed to look like a modern floor cleaner The L10s Ultra is a tall and slim machine with an elegant white finish highlighted by mirror-plated silver elements. The front of the machine is dominated by a huge bumper that helps protect the vacuum and furniture from damage when moving through the home.
