The i5+ robotic is ideal for homes with a lot of. It's however not designed for carpeted or stairs. It has a small capacity dustbin, and won't clean the entire house if there is lots of debris or pets. The only issue is that the Clean Base takes up a considerable amount of space and is difficult to tuck the i7+ away in a closet if it's not in use. But this is a typical problem with robot cleaners and most manufacturers offer smaller charging stations that are smaller. Those stations also typically fit under cabinets, making it easier for you to hide the iRobot when not in use. iRobot has reached out to us following publication to clarify that the Combo i7+ is designed to be used only with the manufacturer-approved cleaning solution (sold separately). It should not be filled with water, which can harm internal components and reduce performance.
