The X2 Omni robot vacuum-mop is the latest in Ecovacs range of hybrid robot vacuum mops. This model is dry and wet. It includes the updated AIVI 3D2.0 lidar system Ecovacs, which gives enhanced mapping and obstruction-free operation. It uses dual laser LiDAR, which is similar to the one used in self-driving vehicles. It can scan an area that is up to 32 feet by 360 degrees. This translates to more precise mapping, quicker response times, and higher cleaning accuracy.

It also comes with a rotating mopping pad made of chenille, which makes it easier to scrub tough spots than traditional mop. During my tests, the X2 Omni washed its pad in just a few seconds and got to work. I noticed that it was more accurate than other models that seemed to follow a grid around rooms. It was adept at navigating my rooms by the corners and edges as well as create a "Zambani pattern" that ran up and down the middle of the room. If you're looking for a strong combination of mopping and vacuuming then check out the EcoVACS Deebot Omni. It is the most advanced of the T-line offered by the company and comes with the new OZMO Turbo2.0 mopping system, which makes use of a dual-spinning brush to provide better cleaning than traditional scrubbers. It also has YIKO integrated, a first-of-its kind natural language processing technology that can respond to a variety of voice commands. You can use the ECOVACS app to map your home, establish cleaning schedules and adjust settings.

The biggest issue with the T10 Omni is that it can't switch between vacuuming and mopping in a single operation. The T10 Omni has two modes that require you to attach mop heads and take them off according to your needs. This is fine for the majority of households, but not so for those with busy lives.

However, the Deebot Omni is a superb robot vacuum and delivers impressive results in our tests for pet hair. It did have some issues with rugs, but generally speaking the vacuum cleaner is ideal for large rooms that have different flooring types as well as a mixture of pets.

It is a bit pricey, but if you can afford it, it's an excellent buy for those who wish to leave their home free to do other tasks or complete chores. The A4s Pro has a convenient auto-cleaning mode that increases suction to tackle tough dirt or spills. It also has a battery-powered ElectroWall to set boundaries for the robot.

This budget-friendly model from a popular upstart brand is the most affordable robot we've ever tested and provides an exceptional value for the price. Its navigation system is based on a basic random pathing algorithm, and it's not equipped to map rooms. This renders it less efficient than other models in this list. It's still able get under furniture and in the corners. Mopping mode performed well in our tests, picking up stray hair and other debris.

Shark's iQ isn't quite as sturdy as the Roomba S9, but it does better overall at getting rid of pet hair on all surfaces. It cleans floors that are bare more thoroughly and does a fair job on carpets with low pile and also makes use of smart-pathing navigational technology for better maneuverability. It can be positioned to a specific location, and comes with a range of advanced automation options, including no-go zones and schedules. It also lets you pause and resume a cleaning session which is ideal for homes with pets.

The self-cleaning brushroll is able to prevent knots from pet hair and other debris, and its self-emptying dock station can store up to 30 days worth of dirt prior to needing to be cleaned. It comes with of side brushes that are angled to reach into corners and a multi-stage filter system that captures dust, allergens and dander.

This robot vacuum is well-built and feels solid. It is compatible with an app for smartphones that lets you change the settings of your vacuum and schedule cleaning sessions in advance. The app allows you to view the remaining battery life of the iQ and also receive push notifications when it encounters any issues during the cleaning session. You can control it with your voice via an Amazon Alexa device or Google Assistant device. If you don't own either of these devices, you can mark areas with physical boundary markers strips.

The iQ does a good job of removing bare floors and doing a fair job with shaggy and low-pile carpet however it lacks the same level of autonomy as our top selections. It's also expensive and its recurring cost can be quite costly.
